Tennis

L.I: To learn the basic grip on a Tennis Racket

For kiwi sport we learnt the basics of holding a tennis racket. Our coach was Coach Peter. he taught us the basics of holding a Tennis Racket. To warm up we did some catching. Our partner has to hold a ball above our hands facing down. The other person who is going to catch the ball has to try to catch it but our hands has to face down. Once they drop the ball the person has to catch it. After the warm up we did throwing and hitting. The partner has to throw three balls to the other person with the racket. To hold the racket you have to use the hand that you use writing with and hold it at the bottom. The is called the Forehand. The other way is to hold both hands on the Tennis racket at the bottom. That's called Backhand.

basic facts

L.I: To remember basic maths facts

For basic facts I did the speed demon Challenge. I took me 10 minutes and 16 seconds. I had to do 10 basic fact boxes. I did all 9 multiplications and 1 division. I only knew my 3,2,10 and 5 because it's the basics but the rest is really hard. The division is kinda hard but at the same time its easy because its just the reverse version of the time table.

Reading

L.I: To recap what we learn

For reading our group created bookmarks. In the bookmarks are the things we learnt from 3 terms ago. Our bookmarks has to explain how people should read.  I think predicting, inferring, prior knowledge and self monitoring is a good skill. I read The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me. Created by Roald Dahl and Illustrated by Quentin Blake.

Orchestra

L.I: To learn to tell the stories by music

For the Orchestra trip. During this show we learnt some new instrument. They also told a story by playing music and the actors dancing. Its was about a man and his daughter Odebt. The man got poisoned  by a goblin and started mutating into a monster. Odebt found a new friend Moon Man and his son Moon boy. Soon the Goblin poisoned Moon boy. It didn't turn him into a monster it killed him but Moon man revived him with his magical healing powers and soon Moon boy was alive. The father came back in his monster form scaring Odebt but Moon boy gave Odebt his healing powers to heal his father. Odebt healed her father and soon he turn back to normal. They in brace a hug and started dancing with each other. That was the end of the story.
