For inquiry I had to use the Waka places that I researched about and find where they settled in google maps. The Kurahaupo waka went to Takapau Kura. The Takitimu waka went Te Awanui, Tauranga Moana, Waiapu River, Uawa, Turanganui, Mahia Peninsula, Te Wairoa, Mohaka River, Porangahau and Te Waewae bay. The Mataatua waka went to Takou Bay and Whakatane. The Tainui waka went to Whangaparaoa, Tauranga, Tamaki River, Te Haukapua, Whangaparaoa, Manukau Harbour, Whaingaroa, Te Ahurei and Mokau. The Te Arawa waka went to Rotorua and Tongariro. The Aotea waka went to Kaipara Harbour and Hawaiki -iti. The Tokumaru waka went to Tongaporutu River. The Horouta waka went to Turanganui.
