Homonyms & Homographs

L.I: To investigate Homonyms and Homographs

Homonyms are words that sound the same, spelt the same but mean different things. For example: Hail, Hail and Hail. The first Hail means small drops of ice. The other Hail means praising and the third Hail means to attract or call out someones attention.

Homographs are words that is spelt the same, sound different and mean different. For example: Row and Row. The first Row means a line or propelling a boat and the second Row means an argument.

  1. Talofa Leon,
I like how you have put arrows pointing to an image of the word, and you have added the definitions of the words below. Your blurb also explains what homographs and homonyms are.

How did you find so many homographs and homonyms, did you use a certain site?

    1. Hi Oscar,
Yes! I did use a site.
As far as I can remember, I think I used Dailywritingtips.com which was used for my homographs.

How much homonyms & homographs you know (excluding the homographs and homonyms on this blog post)?
