Planet

L.I: To identify the conditions required for life and human life

For inquiry I filled up a template about the planets. I chose 1 planet to write about and that was Saturn. On Saturn its 75% hydrogen and 25% helium. Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun and it takes 29 years for Saturn to orbit around the sun. Saturn doesn't contain water because its made out of gas like Jupiter. It can't support Human life because of the gas on the planet.

Vege Car

L.I: To make connections

For reading I had to make connections to this book called Vegetable car. Vege Car is about a man named James Nui. James Nui used vegetable oil to start his car. He wasn't the first person who used oil to start his car because in 1893 another man named Rudolf Diesel designed a engine that could use Peanut oil as petrol for his car.

Kiwi sport

L.I: To recap what we learnt

For gymnastics me and the year 5's recapped on what we did for the past 5 weeks. We did our differnet stretches like the front/back/side support, the cat stretch, the seal, the tuck and the butter fly.

Course 1 - For course 1 we did the Parallel bars and do little swings in a tuck position, the front/side/back support, the cast and the hand stand on the wall.

Course 2 - For course 2 we had the bean. On the bean we had to do big kicks, until were at the middle of the bean we had to kick back. Once were at the end of the bean we had to do a half turn. We had to cart wheel on or over the blue foam. We had to jump off the stage and do a 360 in the air. We had to do a forward roll in the other bean. We had to do bunny hops.

Course 3 - We had a small trampoline and we had to do a straight jump. We had to run up to the other trampoline and jump off it and do a dive front roll. We had to do a back roll of the wedge. Once we back roll off we had to do a hand stand with both feet up. Then do a front roll and get in to a hand stand position.

How to organise your drive

L.I: To organise our drives correctly

I cleaned up my drive. I used 2 short cuts to organise my drive faster. One way is to hold down shift and click on the row you want and put it in a folder. Another way is to hold control and click on the files you need and put it inside a folder.

SSR Selfie

L.I: To summarise and retell a text

I summarised a text from a book about steel turning into a bicycle. First the workers heat up the steel inside an furnace to make the steel soft. Next the workers shape the steel into tubes. Then the workers cut and bend the tubes into bicycle pieces. They then paint the tubes. They then connect the conveyor belt to the bike. After they put on the handles and slide the brakes, shifters and grips onto the handles and finally the workers put on the pedals, seat and the bell on the bike.

African drumming

L.I: to learn African Drumming

Johnny from Rhythm Interactive taught us four rhythms an the djembe. Johnny taught us by singing and clapping the rhythms for us to copy. One of the call and return tunes was "I like chocolate cake", "So do I". Johnny teaches a message to children. That message is that "together, we can make a change".

I enjoyed the drumming even though my hands hurts from drumming. My favourite part of the lesson was when we mixed 2 different beats to create an new beat. I learnt that together we can make a change through music.
